Hi, I am trying to turn a board game I invented into a 2D computer game. Is python the right language for this?

http://www.pygame.org/wiki/GettingStarted sounds like it might be a good way to do things. https://www.djangoproject.com/ would be good if you want people to play via a web browser. http://flask.pocoo.org/ is another choice for making a web based game. Have fun!
